The Porsche 911 Challenge starts with the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter engine and production-based technology of the current 911 GT3, then turns that foundation toward customer racing for privately entered drivers and teams. With a maximum output of 508 horsepower, a seven-speed PDK transmission, motorsport-specific chassis hardware, and integrated safety equipment, it is designed for driver development and Porsche One-Make competition. It is not approved for public-road operation.
Initial 2027 allocations will prioritize drivers and teams committed to a full season in an eligible North American Porsche One-Make series. Broader availability for track days, private testing, and driver development is expected later in 2027.

A Path Into Porsche One-Make Competition
One-make racing places cars from the same manufacturer into dedicated competition, putting greater emphasis on driver preparation, racecraft, and team execution. Starting in 2027, the 911 Challenge is eligible for four Porsche One-Make series in North America, subject to each series' licensing, safety, sporting, and technical requirements:

From the 911 GT3 to a Purpose-Built Race Car
GT3-Derived Engine and PDK
The naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine is largely derived from the current 911 GT3. It produces a maximum output of 508 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and reaches a 9,000 rpm redline. The seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission can shift automatically or manually through steering-wheel paddles.
Driver Controls
The cockpit includes a steering wheel derived from the 911 GT3 RS, air conditioning, and adjustable ABS, traction control, Electronic Stability Control, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, and brake bias. These controls let drivers adjust braking balance and electronic assistance for their experience, pace, and track conditions.
Chassis and Safety Equipment
The chassis uses motorsport-specific suspension calibration, treadless 18-inch racing slicks, and 380-millimeter steel brake discs at the front and rear. The rear wing has four mechanical positions. An integrated air-jack system with three pneumatic jacks raises the car for service in the track's paddock area.
Inside, a welded roll cage, adjustable racing bucket seat, six-point harness, and fire-extinguishing system replace road-car insulation, carpeting, and trim. The car also uses a 29-gallon FIA FT3 safety fuel cell and an FIA-certified rear rain light.
911 Challenge Availability and Purchasing
Porsche Motorsport North America announced a U.S. price of $275,000, including import and delivery to the United States. The announcement does not specify taxes, options, competition expenses, or other charges. Pricing, allocations, and availability may change.
